Nuna Tavo 2019 is updated version of Nuna Tavo 2017. The Nuna Tavo has been nicknamed the “One Click Wonder” for its ability to attach a Nuna car seat without the additional adapters. Some people like to compare Nuna Tavo and Nuna Mixx as for me these two strollers are different. First of all Mixx has reversible seat but Tavo has not, Tavo weighs 24,3 lbs and Mixx – 27lbs. The difference in price between Mixx and the Tavod is 300 dollars. But Tavo is still luxurious stroller with great canopy, roomy seat, adjustable handlebar and good wheels.
Significant upgrades in 2019 models:
- nice brown leatherette accented and height-adjustable handlebar
- All-season mesh seat
- Updated canopy
- New matte black frame
The Nuna Tavo weighs 24,3 lbs and designed for babies from birth and up to 50 lbs.
Let’s see the features:
The Tavo has roomy all-season seat, there is basically mesh-panel in the back to make it comfortble for the baby in hot weather.
So you can leave this cozy insert for the cold weather and in the summer you can take it off.
The leg rest is adjustable. You just need to push two little bottoms on both sides of the footrest. It has three positions: up, straight and down. The seat can be reclined to four position (including true-flat sleeping position) that are operated by a one-hand lever recline.
The Tavo is approved for the child from the birth until 50 lbs. It has deep recline and makeshift bassinet, you just need to take away two panels on both sides of the footrest and then just button to the inside of the lining. It will keep your baby from the sliding out from the seat. So you don’t have to buy other stroller with bassinet or if you don’t want use car seat. From one side it’s really awesome, but from other side, I don’t understand such position for the newborn. As for me, baby is so small and the world is so big, so the first months the baby really needs eye contact with parents. But it’s my opinion and if your kid sleep all walk in the stroller – it’s a good option for you.
The Tavo has large canopy with pop out sunvisor “dream drape” that will provide full coverage and also will protect your baby from bright sun. The good thing is that the “dream drape” is made from knit breathable fabric so it has great air circulation.
There is a mesh panel in the canopy that can be kept up with the little toggle and the loop. It will be great for summer time because it provides additional airflow.
Also there is a peekaboo window with magnetic closure so you’re not gonna wake up your sleeping baby.
The Tavo has 3 or 5-point anti-loop harness, featuring quick click release button.
It has leatherette brown handle bar that looks really classy. The telescoping handle bar goes from 38″ and up to 42″ from the ground so it will be suitable for all parents. You just need to pull the
buttons up and then pull the handle up or down to adjust to your height.
The Tavo has included bamper bar. It can be detached by pushing buttons on the inside. The cons of bamper bar is that It’s fabric-covered instead of leatherette. As for me leatherette is not only better looking but also is more practical and easier to clean.
The large storage basket has hidden zipper pocket that let you keep your personal items secure. It is very easy to access from the back and sides.
The Tavo has step on – step off brake that located between rear wheels. It also has green and red indicators. Super comfartable. This is my favorite type of brake, easy to use and no scratches.
The Tavo rides really well over different terrain, it has 4-wheels suspension and nice big tires. The front wheels are swivel but can be locked straight. The wheels are EVA foam never-flat.
I like the Tavo folding system, you need just one hand. First you push the seat back up, then you push the button with your thumb on the handle bar, squeeze it with your fingers, push the stroller forward and it folds, also it has automatic lock on the frame. The swivel auto lock let you open the stroller using only one hand, you just swivel it down and open, that’s easy. The stroller does not have handle or some kind of strap for transportation, but it can be trolley like a luggage when folded.
Travel system option
The Nuna Tavo works with Nuna Pipa car seat without any adapters. You need to recline seat all the way down and have bamper bar attached, then you just click car seat right into the place. It’s releases with the back button on the Pipa. The stroller’s canopy and Pipa’s canopy create full coverage for the baby. During the summer time you probably will not want to have such closed space, so you can just unzip canopy and you receives open area for a kid and some compartment for yourselfe where you can put the bottle, keys or wallet for example.

Nuna Tavo is great stroller for families who need stylish, maneuverable and easy to use stroller. What I don’t like in this stroller is weight, I think it’s rather heavy for single stroller that doesn’t have reversible seat. And also I would not recommend as only one stroller, of course you can use the car seat for newborn, but in bassinet your baby will sleep flat and will have better air ventilation, most of car seats with its protective foam, tends to make babies sweaty. Also, one more cons, Tavo doesn’t have a lot of accessories such as footmuff, bassinet, cup holder.
From other side, for $349.95 you receive beatifull stroller with great canopy with peekaboo window and mesh panel, good size storage basket with zipped pocket, good seat fabric that can be removed for all-weather mesh seatback that keeps child comfortable in warm weather, one-hand folding system and you don’t need any car seat adapters. So now you know all cons and pros, the choice is up to you.
